Carren Marie Opra

It is with heavy hearts and immense sadness we announce the passing of Carren Marie Opra at the age of 58 years in Scarborough, Ontario. 

Carren was born on October 23, 1964, in Revelstoke British Columbia to John and Lillian Opra. Upon graduating high school Carren worked as an educational assistant for Revelstoke School District. She worked with various elementary students and was very proud of her “kids” and their accomplishments. She left Revelstoke in 2003 to begin a new chapter of her life in Scarborough Ontario. Carren is lovingly remembered for her love of animals, concerts, football, bingo and NASCAR. 

She was predeceased by her partner Glenn Murphy and many pets who left paw prints on her heart. 

She is survived by her daughter Ashley of Calgary AB, her parents, John and Lillian Opra of Revelstoke B.C., her sister, Sherri Floyd (Murray) of Cranbrook B.C., her nephew, Ashton Floyd and her niece, Caydence Floyd both of Cranbrook B.C. Carren will be greatly missed by her granddog Roxi. 

There will be no service as per Carren’s request.  There will be a celebration of life held in late spring or early summer in Revelstoke. An exact date is to be determined. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carren’s name to Revelstoke Humane Society or BC SPCA.
