Grace Aldred

Grace Martha Aldred Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Bastion Place Salmon Arm BC Thursday June 10th 2021, at the age of 96 years.

Grace was born in Bield Manitoba on December 17th, 1924, she has been a residence of Salmon Arm BC since the mid 80’s.

Some of her favourite things: music (enjoyed listening & dancing to music) red roses, crochet & knitting, raspberries, the color blue & butterflies. Worked as a waitress in her teens, after she raised her large family of 14 children she worked as a clerk at the Horse & Rancher, also worked at the sawmill with Ted, in Prince George BC.

Grace was predeceased by her parents Albert & Iona Olson, husband Clifford Edwin Aldred (Ted), her 6 brothers, her son Ronald Keehn, stepsons Clifford & Ben Aldred, and 2 grandchildren.

Grace is survived by her children, Trudeen Renz, Sherry Lawson (Doug), Joyce Jackson, Gail McAllister (Bob), Tom Simpson (Marina), Marlane Clifford, Michael Loring, Bonnie Wilson, Heather Smith, Melody Hamm, Roger Simpson, Cindy Hedstrom (Richard) and Matthew Aldred, her sister Mildred Austin, and many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.

The Family of Grace Aldred would like to thank the staff at Second Level Shuswap Hospital and Bastion Place for the excellent care given to Mom & her family in her final few days. Your loving care was and is greatly appreciated.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Grace would be appreciated.
