Ines Timperio (née D’Ippolito) of Revelstoke, BC passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the age of 85 years.
Ines was born in Serra Pedace, Cosenza, Italy on June 22, 1940 and grew up in nearby Spezzano Piccolo. She immigrated to Revelstoke, British Columbia in 1961 at the age of 21, where she worked in a laundromat and as a chambermaid. She spent her time gardening, cooking, and among friends, family, and her Italian community. Ines’ garden was her greatest hobby and flourished with every fruit and vegetable imaginable.
On February 26, 1964, Ines married Vincenzo (Vince), and together they raised two sons, Guiseppe (Joe) and Robert. It was through her sons’ accomplishments that she was made most proud. Her three grandchildren, Vincent, Ashley, and Talia were her world and she always took great delight in spending time with them.
Ines is survived by her two sons, Joe (Lori) and Rob (Lisa); and three grandchildren, Vincent, Ashley, and Talia; sister, Antonietta Federico (Luigi); brother, Raimondo D’Ippolito (Anna); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Battista and Concetta D’Ippolito; her brothers Romualdo D’Ippolito and Fernando D’Ippolito; sister, Maria D’Ippolito; and husband, Vincenzo Timperio.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Prayer Service at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (510 MacKenzie Ave, Revelstoke, BC) on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (510 MacKenzie Ave, Revelstoke, BC) on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Following the church service, a time of fellowship and refreshments will be held in the Parish Hall. All are welcome.
Graveside Service to follow Mass at Mountain View Cemetery (203 Nakusp Mica Creek Hwy #103, Revelstoke, BC)
Ines will be remembered for her generosity and love, and for the warmth she brought to the hearts of all who knew her.
