Obituary
Isabelle Charlotte Kyles passed away Salmon Arm on March 2, 2023 at the age of 96 years.
Born in Kelvington, Saskatchewan on July 1, 1926, grew up on the homestead in Bells Hills, Saskatchewan, seventh of 12 siblings. She left home at a young age and worked her way through university to become a register nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Humbolt, Saskatchewan in 1948. She joined in the RCAF in 1956 and was stationed in Cold Lake, Alberta and Europe for some time.
On June 23, 1962 she married Rodney Kyles. In 1969 they left the farm in Manitoba and moved to Salmon Arm where she worked at Shuswap Lake General Hospital until her retirement. An active member of the Hospital Auxiliary, an avid gardener with great love for her rose bushes.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother. A dedicated professional, caring nurse in her long career, gaining great respect from all Doctors, fellow staff and countless patients.
Isabelle will be sorely missed by Robin and Linda, Stephen, grandchildren Brandy, Keith and Kurtis.
The family express thanks and appreciation to the staff at Hillside Village for the outstanding and loving care they all gave her.
Memorial donations may be sent to the Shuswap Lake Health – Care Auxiliary.
A Celebration of Life service and reception will be held at the Mountainside room at Bowers Funeral Home on Thursday, April 6th at 1 p.m. with Celebrant Jack Bowers officiating.
