It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Jane McMahon (nee Hollingsworth) on May 25, 2021 at the age of 87 years.
Jane was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Annie Hollingsworth and brother Bill Hollingsworth. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 52 years, Mel; daughter, Vicki (Paul) Pupo; two grandsons, David and Anthony (Mary) Pupo; and 18 month old great grandson, Oliver and nephew Michael and nieces Julie and Kari .
Jane was born on May 28, 1933, at Mt. MacPherson District, Revelstoke, BC. She loved animals, nature and the mountains. When she was 18 years old, Jane moved to Field, BC and began working for Yoho National Park until 1973. During her employment with Parks Canada, Jane was the recipient of one of only 200 medals awarded to outstanding employees from the federal government. While in Field she was involved in the community, serving on the board of the Credit Union, the Recreation Committee and St. Andrews United Church.
Jane enjoyed leather and copper work, sewing, gardening and flowers; but family was her greatest treasure.
Due to Covid restrictions, the family will have a private graveside service with interment in the Golden Community Cemetery.
