Jodi Beth Wagner

Jodi Wagner Obituary

Jodi Wagner graced our lives on September 11th, 1985, and suddenly passed away Oct 14th, 2023 of a brain trauma. We have all been so blessed to love her for 38 years and take satisfaction in knowing that she was needed for something more important that we may not understand. A deeply loved Fiancée, a Cherished Daughter, Sister, Niece, Auntie, a Special Friend to many, and a Super Dog Mom to Stewart. She leaves behind fiancé Steve Dufault, parents Lorne and Gloria Wagner, brother Michael and sister-in-law Crystal Wagner, and their daughters Naveah and Traeh, brother James Wagner, and countless friends and family members who adored her.

Jodi spent her youth in Saskatoon, you may have found her sweating on the basketball court, bruised up on the rugby pitch, or dirty from a slide into second on the ball diamond.  After graduation, Jodi called Jasper home and fulfilled her snowboarding dream. Jodi was always up for a challenge and that led her to Calgary, close to the airport for her frequent trips to Las Vegas competing in many Tropic Beauty Competitions. During those years in Calgary, she was determined to touch as many places as she could. In true Jodi fashion, she did just that— spending time all over North America, Australia, Europe, Asia, and many tropical islands. Jodi left her footprint all over the world, wherever she went, her contagious laugh and outgoing personality lent to making friends, many she carried with her to this day. Her determination made her a valuable employee with various pipelines, she worked all over Alberta in the industry, eventually settling in Revelstoke in 2019 with Steve. Revelstoke held so many special things for Jodi, it was a place she loved. It held extra special memories, as she welcomed friends and family to adventure with her, thrifting, hiking, beaching, playing crib, and endless rounds of golf. Jodi was so proud of the future she was building with Steve, their passion and vision was perfectly aligned.

One of Jodi’s last social media posts read, “Such an amazing summer! Thankful for my lil family and the bestests friends xoxo” – she had a heart of gratitude and didn’t waste any time, she enjoyed life and those she loved. She left us with that reminder, be thankful, adventure, and most importantly cherish those you love because she did just that for all of us.

Jodi gave one last act of love by donating her organs, to help so many others. In place of flowers, a donation can be made to the Women’s Shelter Revelstoke, at PO Box 1150 Revelstoke, BC V0E 2S0. Or E Transfer to teamleader20@outlook.com.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Nov 26th at Hillcrest Coast Hotel in Revelstoke from 1 to 5 PM.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
