Margaret Rose Zorn

With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our mom, gramma, and great-gramma.

She, Marg Zorn (nee McCaull) passed away on Nov 15, 2022 at her home in Durand Manor, Golden BC.

Marg was the youngest and 8th child of Calvin and Janet McCaull. Raised in Parson within a large extended family, she lived most of her life in the valley. She and her husband, Don, raised their three children Kelley, David and Brenda in Nicholson. Marg was a homemaker who loved to bake, camp and fish, read and spend time with her many sisters. She had a unique and well used sense of humor.  

The last of her generation, she was predeceased by her brother, Bruce (Nell) McCaull, sisters Ett (Dave) Pedley, Bertha (Tom) Doumnoff, Edie (Clayton) Johnson, Pearl (Bill) Henderson, Clara (Garth) Benson and Babe (Ray) Jean and her husband of 58 years, Don, in 2016. Marg is survived by her three children Kelley (Terry) Pollock, David (Kelly) Zorn, and Brenda (John) Zorn. She also leaves behind four beloved grandchildren, Mitch (Dominique) Pollock, Alicia (Dave) McCann, Jay (Nikki) Zorn, and Eryn (Alex) Zorn with whom she shared special relationships. She was blessed with five great-grandchildren, Marshall, Jackson, Louis, Spencer and Ella. And she was Aunt Marg to many nieces, nephews and their children.

Marg's family thank Golden Home Support, Dr. Chiles, Dr. Cunes, Dr. Clare, Dr. Johnson and the care staff at Ivy House in Invermere for caring for mom and getting her home to Durand Manor. It is a testament to the administrative, care, and support staff that our homebody mom considered Durand Manor her home. We will be forever grateful for the care you gave our mom.

A private memorial will be held later. In lieu of flowers her family requests you smile at a memory of mom, hold your elderly loved ones close and consider donating to Durand Manor, who provide such compassionate care and support to residents and their families in the Golden community.
