Marianne Ingebrigtson

On September 3rd 2021, Marianne Ruth Ingebrigtson gained her wings and made her journey to heaven. Marianne was a joyful person who could brighten anyone’s day with her humor. She was loved by all who met her. Heaven recruited a very special angel.

Marianne was born on July 28/59 in Chilliwack, BC. She spent her formative years in Chilliwack and Surrey, BC. In November of 1971, her family bought the Silver Creek store and moved to Silver Creek, BC. Marianne attended school, worked in the store and in the fall of 1973 met Tom Ingebrigtson, whom she married on  January 18,1975. Together they had 2 daughters, Carrie and Heidi.

Through out their 46 years together, Marianne and Tom moved around spending time in Fisherbranch MB, Golden BC, Winnipeg MB, and Dugald MB. It was in Dugald, MB that Marianne decided she wanted to go back to school and complete her high school education. She went back to school, worked hard and very proudly accomplished her goal. She received her diploma with the Springfield collegiate graduating class of 1987. In 1992 Marianne and Tom made one last move back to the Shuswap to Sicamous BC. In the years that followed Marianne was thrilled to welcome her grandchildren Heather, Brendan, Janine, and Shantel as well as her great grandchildren Ethan and Evan. She was very excited to hear about the expected arrival of a third great grandchild coming in February 2022.

Marianne enjoyed crafting, rock picking, baking and games. More than anything Marianne loved to spend time with family and friends. She loved her family fiercely. Everywhere Marianne spent time she made lifelong friends, friends that became part of her family. Marianne will be missed by many especially her husband, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, mother, and siblings.

The family has planned a service on October 2nd 2021 at the 5 Corners Church, 3160 10th Ave SE Salmon Arm at 2pm. For those who are unable to attend please raise a toast to Marianne.
